HY601

PVD aluminum pigment engineered for bright, uniform mirror-like metallic finishes.

Product Overview

HY601 is a mirror-effect aluminum pigment produced from PVD nano-aluminum film and advanced powder processing. Passivation, activation, surface modification and combined chemical-physical encapsulation create stable, thin aluminum flakes with high reflectivity, strong metallic luster and excellent hiding power. Their high aspect ratio supports near-parallel orientation in coatings for mirror-like and electroplated visual effects.

Recommended Uses

HY601 is an ultra-thin floating bright aluminum paste with smooth, uniformly distributed nano-scale flakes, a high diameter-to-thickness ratio, strong hiding power and excellent brightness. A small dosage can provide a bright chrome-like effect with favorable formulation economics.

Application Guidance

  • Suitable for screen, flexographic, gravure and spray application on paper, plastics, boards, metals and compatible films.
  • Typically use with low-solids, high-viscosity resin; select compatible resin and solvent systems and minimize substrate attack during application.
  • Stir thoroughly before use. Typical addition is 10–60% of total ink formulation or 2–6% in coatings. Use low-shear dispersion. Keep the substrate clean and smooth; apply a clear topcoat when greater hardness or abrasion resistance is required.

Storage & Packaging

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Reseal immediately after use to limit solvent evaporation. Keep away from flame and ignition sources.

Available in non-returnable 1 kg, 3 kg and 20 kg packages; alternative packaging may be agreed with the customer.
